💥 Key Blaster

Letters fall from the top of the screen. Type them before they land.

How it works

Keys drop from the top of the arena and you clear them by typing them. Miss three and the run ends. The keys arrive faster and fall quicker as you climb the levels, and the number allowed on screen at once rises with you — so the screen fills as you get better rather than staying at the same gentle trickle.

Points reward nerve. A key hit near the bottom of the screen is worth more than one picked off at the top, and clearing the lowest key on screen doubles the score, so playing safe and clearing the easy ones first is the lower-scoring strategy. A combo multiplier builds while you keep hitting and resets the moment you miss.

If you fall behind, arrivals pause while the screen is full, so a bad patch thins out instead of spiralling.

What it trains

Playing it builds recognising a single key and hitting it without looking — the reflex touch typing is built on. Every run also feeds your key profile, so the time counts towards knowing which keys are costing you the most.
